NBHC Strikers became the first team to win True North Cricket Championship, 2017 trophy. They won this title by defeating their own in-house team NBHC Panthers by 23 runs. The target score set by Strikers team were 63 runs in finale match.
The two days match was filled with passion, excitement, thrill, breathtaking moments and much more that was apparent on field during the True North Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament held on 24th and 25th February, 2017.
Highlights of Day 1 (24th Feb,17):Team Strikers played 3 matches against Hicare - 2, Meru and True North and won all the 3 matches impeccably. The performance displayed by Team Strikers were commendable and each player brilliantly contributed to lead the team to semifinals.
In the evening, Team Panthers kept the ball rolling by winning 2 matches against Degustibus-1 and VKL on day one and Hicare-1 on day 2. Team Panthers won all the 3 matches and made their way to the Semi Finals.
Four teams qualified for semifinals were:

The success story continued for NBHC on Day 2. Team Strikers and Team Panthers defeated their opponent with good margin and became the finalist.
The two best teams in the finale, and by no coincidence led by the two finest captains. Nothing can be better for an outstanding finale.
Both the teams were looking confident after back to back wins against their opponent, but the question now was who will be crowned as Champions. We wished that may the best team win. Team Strikers and Team Panthers played with the desire to win and take the winning trophy back home.
At the end of the day, it was Team Strikers who won the finale match by scoring total 63 runs and crowned as Champions of 2017.
The winner trophy was presented to the captain of Team Strikers (Mr. Hiren Darji) and the medals and certificates were given to all the players by our respected chief guest Mr. A N Roy (Advisor Board in True North and Ex-commissioner of police, Mumbai). Ms. Reeta Gupta was declared as the best female player of the tournament.
We congratulate both the teams for qualifying in finale. The passion, the determination and the winning instinct by all the players were quite evident in each game. The performances by both the teams were worthy of a champion side. Almost all members of the team brought their best side to the fore and even if one or two members were having a bad day, some other team member stepped up and compensated for it.
The sportsman spirit displayed by all the players of other True North group companies were admirable.
We thank the senior management team, all the cheering squad present at the venue to encourage our players, HR and Admin department for making all logistic arrangements for this event.
A special kudos to our promoter True North for their initiative to build a bonding among other group companies by the medium of cricket.
We look forward for more such engaging events in the future.

It was an wonderful experience being part of this event, every participant played very enthusiastically and the event was sporty. This was my first participation in such kind of game, I cannot even think about cricket (any girl will think the same who is not much into games and activities). Some of the girls from opponent teams were really good competitors. We played 5 matches and won all and the amazing moment was when our Team NBHC Strikers won finale. Best arrangement done by True-north on refreshment and all other arrangement such as song after every sixes or fours or a wicket, I ENJOYED A LOT BEING A CRICKETER FOR 2 DAYS……

It takes me great honor to say that we participated in True North Cricket Championship. I must say that this was the "Best Tournament" we have ever played till date. The best thing we liked about this tournament was "Professionalism" with which it was organized. From the point of providing the dress for the team members, refreshment, selection of grounds, timely starting of matches, and keeping us well informed about the happenings in other matches via constant match updates from HR Department. My Team played this tournament for the first time. Team was very happy to be part of this graceful event. In my view it is a great event. I wish "NBHC Striker" will play in next edition of the tournament and retain the Title.

This is the 1st season of True North Cricket Championship. Though there were couple of good batting and bowling performances. It all looked so surreal, so awesome. I could just wonder on what it must feel for a cricketer to make his debut in front of such a vociferous crowd.

First of all we would like to thank TRUENORTH for conducting such an well managed & great Cricket Event at Police Gymkhana between all group companies with all timely managed facilities for all employees . It was an experience to meet new colleagues from different companies such as VKL, RDC, Hicare, True North, Meru and Degustibus. According to us the performance by each & every team was up to their best efforts & each players has performed well. According to me everyone are WINNER. It was a dream night for NBHC Strikers & NBHC Panthers who defeated all team & finally entered the FINALS… But as it was a competition, the best team won with their hard work and efforts i.e. NBHC STRIKERS. Not at last I would like to congratulate the captain Hiren Darji (NBHC Strikers) & Pratik Kuldalkar (NBHC Panthers) for leading the team in the said tournament & keeping trust on each players of NBHC so as to achieve the remarkable victory.
